COURSE DESCRIPTION

The National Certificate in Automotive Mechanics course is designed to provide trainees with the basic and fundamental knowledge and skills required for automotive service, maintenance, and repair. The course emphasizes the core requirements of a well-trained automotive mechanic, as stipulated by the automotive curriculum of the National Curriculum Development Centre.

The course also stresses the major elements of a Health and Safety Management System, helping trainees exhibit improved OHSE awareness and understand the best safety practices while at work. 

CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of the National Certificate in Automotive Mechanics course, trainees will be awarded a certificate that indicates they have acquired the necessary competences to be an automotive mechanic. The certificate is in line with the requirements stipulated in the automotive curriculum of the National Curriculum Development Centre.

The National Certificate in Automotive Mechanics course aims to produce automotive mechanics who are able to:

2. Fabricate components and machine parts.
3. Service and maintain engines in good working conditions.
4. Install, repair and maintain the electrical/electronic system in a vehicle.
5. Prepare reports, budgets, and operation plans.

7. Initiate and manage small Business Enterprises.

The course provides practical training starting from basics to advanced testing techniques, making it suitable for beginners to advanced level users who learn faster when demonstrated. The course content is designed by considering current software testing technology and the job market. Practical assignments are given at the end of every session, and trainees have a practical learning experience with live project work and examples.
