  1. National Certificate Programs: These typically offer one intake per year, which is commonly in February. This means that students can apply and enroll in these programs once a year, at the beginning of the academic year.

  2. Short Courses: Short courses often have more frequent intakes compared to longer programs. In your case, short courses offer two intakes per year. This means that students can typically enroll in short courses twice a year, which could be in various months depending on the institution’s schedule.

Government sponsorship is available for students excelling in P.L.E and U.C.E exams. To secure it, applicants must submit before the selection period. Selections, randomly based on academic performance, occur in February following U.C.E results.

This supports high-achieving students and emphasizes fairness. Stay updated on changing criteria by contacting local education authorities, ensuring readiness for the February selection period.

So, to summarize, the complete list of requirements to join Ntinda Vocational Training Institute is as follows:

  1. P.LE (Primary Leaving Examination) Results: Minimum of three principal passes.
  2. U.C.E (Uganda Certificate of Education) Results: Minimum of three principal passes.
  3. Passport-Sized Photos: Ten copies.
  4. National ID or Birth Certificate: Issued by NIRA for identification and verification.

A national certificate program typically spans a duration of two years, while a short course is completed in just six months.

The institute does not have its own hostel facility. However, we recommend St. Joseph’s Hostel, which is located at Ring Road Kulambiro in Nakawa Division. You can contact them using the following contact information:

  1. Visit the Office of the Academic Registrar at Ntinda Vocational Training Institute to obtain an Application Form.
  2. Carefully complete the Application Form, ensuring that all required information is accurately provided.
  3. Submit the filled Application Form to the Registrar’s Office.
  4. Await further instructions regarding the collection of your Admission Letter. The Registrar’s Office will contact you with the specific date for collection.
  5. By following these steps, you will be on track to apply successfully to Ntinda Vocational Training Institute.
